Mr. Ahmed S. Al Essa is the Chief Executive Officer of SPARK Utilities for King Salman Energy Park (SPARK City). He leads the strategic deployment of cutting-edge power, water and gas utilities across the SPARK City- a multi-billion-dollar global energy hub. Under his leadership, SPARK Utilities achieved a historic record as the only fully integrated utility company in Saudi Arabia for distribution and retail Power, Water and Gas; shifting the Kingdome’s utility landscape. Al Essa brings over 20 years of wealth of experience and knowledge of the energy sector. He held a variety of leadership roles in Saudi Aramco; where he led execution of several strategic initiatives and established new organizations within Saudi Aramco and across the Kingdome. Al Essa holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Saudi Arabia and a master’s degree in Sustainable Electrical Energy from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
