Dr. Ahmed Abd El Hady Mohamed—General Administration for Quality and Environmental Affairs, Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, Egypt. Ahmed received his master’s degree from Ain Shams University and his PhD from Suez Canal University. He has also been a speaker at international conferences and a trainer in many training programs. He has 20 years of experience in overseeing water and wastewater treatment plants and laboratories through the continued operation of these plants, utilizing the Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting System (MARS), and conducting field visits that employ checklists for monitoring, evaluation, and quality data management, including reports on the Water Quality Index (WQI). He has utilized intelligent techniques for water and wastewater networks, smart grids, and advanced data and communication networks. He has actively participated in three major types of cybersecurity, one of which is application security, which applies artificial intelligence, threat intelligence, and data analytics science to analyze and resolve new and complex cyber threats. He is the focal point in Egypt regarding WHO in SDG 6 and the GLAAS program. Participating in editing an evaluation form for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the existing wastewater plants, preparing the water safety plan (WSP) for new projects of water treatment plants, preparing the sanitation safety plan (SSP) for all the projects of wastewater treatment plants, and drafting laws related to drinking water and sanitation in the Egyptian Parliament.
